An island is being built in the Kiss & Ride zone on Vokzalnaya Square

A new island is being built on Vokzalnaya Square in the area of rapid passenger boarding/disembarking (the so-called Kiss & Ride zone). This was reported by the NGO " Passengers of Kyiv ".

The island is part of a new traffic management scheme at Vokzalnaya Square, which is intended to improve the traffic situation there. Previously, two lanes of traffic near the station were parked, and cars drove along the dividing markings.

Now, instead of this marking, there will be an island, and it will be impossible to park your car there without blocking other traffic.

Currently, due to repair work, the express drop-off zone is closed to cars. Passengers are disembarking in the first lane, next to the trolleybus stop, which interferes with public transport.

It should be noted that preparations have also begun for the modernization of the parking lot at Vokzalnaya Square. Currently, the closest working parking lot to the station is located on the overpass from Skoropadskoho Street to Vokzalnaya Square. You can also use the parking lots near the Southern Station (including the underground parking lot) or the parking lot on the territory of the Kyiv bus station.
